Technical and Historical Notes

Although the creation of mobile suits is inspired by human-sized space worker pods, the ZGMF-1017 Works GINN is a mobile suit-sized version of the worker pod. The Works GINN is not equipped with any built-in weapons as its main function is construction, ship maintenance, etc. Instead of the wings used on the standard ZGMF-1017 GINN, the Works GINN features two wing binders attached to the backpack. Each binder contains two maneuvering thrusters. The Works GINN also features three manipulator fingers in place of a left hand. Also, the Works GINN is equipped with a towing winch in its crotch area. Aside from all the standard uses, Junk Guild pilot Liam Garfield uses his unit for salvage operations to retrieve damaged mobile suits for resale. Although he usually stays out of battles, Liam takes up a linear gun and joins in the fight when the Earth Alliance attacks the space colony Litilia.
