The Giga is a high-speed courier ship belonging to the Junk Guild. Captained by Speedy Joe, the ship is contracted to help the Re.H.O.M.E. and another ship deliver a vaccine for the Type S2 Influenza to a space colony at Lagrange point 4. En route, the three ships are attacked by the ZAFT space station Erudou. The Giga is heavily damaged, but just before it is destroyed, MBF-P02 Gundam Astray Red Frame pilot Lowe Guele cuts the cockpit free and saves Joe's life.
