Created by the Jupiter Empire, the EMA-07 Nautilus was a customized version of an older mobile armor. Its main weapon was a powerful beam gun mounted on the front of its main hull and powered by a large generator. Flanking the beam cannon's aperture was a set of twelve cutting wires, which were excellent for anti-mobile suit combat but required a fine level of control. Though it lacked basic combat efficiency, the Nautilus was potentially devastating in theory. One Nautilus was built and piloted by Karas, Tobia Arronax's former teacher and a fanatical follower of Crux Dogatie. However, brain damage suffered from oxygen deprivation caused Karas to become obsessively fixated on destroying his pupil. In his rage, he actually did more damage to his own allies than to the XM-X3 (F97) Crossbone Gundam X-3 or anyone else opposing him. Finally, Tobia dealt a mortal blow to the Nautilus, but before he went, Karas destroyed a Jupiter mobile suit that had snuck up on X-3 and would have destroyed it, if not for Karas' intervention.
