After the test flights and collection of combat and flight data from the Apsalus and Apsalus II were complete, Ginias Sahalin set out to complete his dream project and bring it to fruition. The final, completed version, the Apsalus III, was completed at Ginias' Southeast Asian mobile suit factory during the One Year War. Primarily addressing the problem of insufficient generator output to drive its Minovsky craft system, the Apsalus III was equipped with three power generators pulled from MS-09RII Rick Dom IIs. It also mounted two Minovsky craft systems instead of one, making the Apsalus III much more stable during atmospheric flight. These Minovsky craft modules were mounted on giant, spindly legs which anchored the mobile armor to the ground while firing its main cannon. However, the Apsalus III never got used against its intended Jaburo target, as word of it reached Federation intelligence and their Kojima Batallion destroyed it before it ever got out of Southeast Asia.
