Technical and Historical Notes |
The RAG-79-G1 Waterproof Gundam is an amphibious mobile suit based on the body of the RAG-79 Aqua GM, except it is designed with ace pilots in mind. The Waterproof Gundam features a slightly more powerful reactor than the Aqua GM, and its performance and thruster output is also slightly higher. The Waterproof Gundam's armaments include torpedoes, beam picks, a harpoon gun and a special underwater use beam rifle. Because the head is molded after the famous RX-78-2 Gundam, the unit is commonly referred to as just "Gundam."
