Designed to supplement and eventually replace the Papua class transport, the peculiar-looking Pazock class formed the backbone of the Zeon logistical fleet in the One Year War. Pazock class vessels were primarily used to transport mobile suits to fleets and bases in Zeon-controlled space, while the Papua class carried out riskier operations such as frontline supply to independently operating units such as the Musai class Falmel, commanded by Char Aznable. Like the Papua, the Pazock was lightly armed with machine gun turrets for defense. Some Pazock class units saw service well into UC 0083, where they were responsible for the supply for the Delaz Fleet and Cima Garahau's Marines during Operation Stardust.
