Technical and Historical Notes

The Nelson class battleship serves as the main vessel of the Earth Alliance's space fleets. At almost double the size of the 130 meter class, the Nelson class is more heavily armed and features an internal hangar to store the TS-MA2 Moebius mobile armor. While this heavily armed ship cannot easily be destroyed by ZAFT's standard ZGMF-1017 GINN mobile suit, it can be wiped out by one of the Gundams stolen by ZAFT. After the war, the Alliance upgrades the Nelson class with external mobile suit launch decks.
