The
colony continues on its course for Earth. The Lili Marleen spots
Kou, and Cima sends out mobile suits to attack him. Hasler contacts
Delaz and tells him the Axis Fleet will stay to the rear. Kou uses
the weapons of the Orchis weapons container to eliminate Zakus and
Rick Doms that get in his way. At Jaburo, General Kowen tracks the
movement of the colony. They have to regain control of it before
it passes the Point of No Return. Once that point is passed, its
course cannot be changed because Earth's gravity is pulling it in.
The Zeon suits retreat, and Kou locates Gato's Neue Ziel and attacks.
The two mobile armors are so powerful that they are pretty evenly
matched in combat. Each discovers that the other has an I-field
that deflects beam weapon attacks. Synapse decides not send out
mobile suits until Kou breaks a hole in the enemy line. Keith, Monsha,
Bate and Adel all wait to launch. Kou and Gato continue to fight,
and Kou switches to rocket-based weapons, which damages the Neue
Ziel. Gato deploys his claw arms to attack Kou. The two them fight
until the Albion shows up, and Synapse orders Kou to return
to the ship for re supply. On Delaz's ship Gwaden, Cima
shows up has her men kill all of Delaz's bridge crew. Back on the
Albion, Kou is anxious to get back into battle with Gato.
He takes
a moment to rest, but the Zeon have located the Albion and
attack. Kou disconnects the Stamen from the Orchis mobile armor
and goes out to fight with the others.
General Kowen sees General Gene Corini speaking to Cima on a screen.
He argues that the Earth orbital defense fleet must be deployed,
and Jamitov Hymem pulls out a gun on him. Kowen yells at Corini
and is taken away. Gato tells his men that Cima cannot be trusted,
and they will complete the mission on their own without her forces.
The damaged Albion begins moving again, followed by Kou's
Orchis. Shortly after they begin moving, Gato attacks them. Gato
fires missiles at Kou, and in the frenzy of the attack he uses a
claw arm to destroy Kou's I-field generator. Kou continues attacking
Gato, and one of his weapons containers is destroyed. Monsha fights
off a Dra-C that sideswipes him and rips off one of his arms. Back
on the Gwaden, Cima holds Delaz hostage, and he regrets
ever working with her when she announces a cease fire on behalf
of the Zeon. He asks her if she is going to drop the colony or not.
As the countdown reaches one minute, the colony continues to move
and passes the Point of No Return. The Albion continues its
pursuit of the colony and spots what the Federation Forces are really
doing to stop the colony. From his ship, Delaz sees it too: the
new Solar System II commanded of Bask Om. Just like the original
Solar System from the One Year War, this one focuses sunlight into
mirrors and creates a powerful beam. Gato shows up in front of the
Gwaden and asks what's going on. Delaz tells him to continue
and see the mission through. He shouts out 'Sieg Zeon', and Cima
kills him. Gato lashes out in fury and smashes the bridge of the
Gwaden with one of his claw arms.
Things are
really heating up now. That space colony is on a one way course
to Earth, and it seems the only people who care about stopping it
are the crew of the Albion. Cima finally plays her hand and
betrays Delaz, which was a long time coming. However, her reasons
for working with the Federation are not explained. Aside from all
of those developments, there's the Federation conspiracy. Why is
General Corini not worried about the colony drop? Even though he
has the Solar System II, it's almost as if he wants the colony to
drop. Here we also get to see cameo appearances by Zeta Gundam
characters Bask Om and Jamitov Hymem, who become the future leaders
of the Titans. We'll see how things turn out in the last episode
of the series.
