Summary

In the ruins of his castle, Satan Gundam is reborn in a younger form. In Lacroa, Revil bestows the title of Versal Knight onto Knight Gundam for his deeds. Outside, Elf GM and Nemo practice and are surprised to see Amuro return with the four Algus Knights. Nemo says they all look the same, and Alex explains they are descendants of the Gundam Clan. At the castle, Amuro and the Algus Knights sit at a round table with Revil and Knight Gundam. Alex says that although they're descendants of the Gundam Clan, they don't know anything that would be of help to Knight Gundam. Knight Gundam wonders if he's even supposed to be in the world of Suda Doaka. Alex pulls out the Harp of Guidance, a magical item his clan has been guarding. The harp begins to play by itself, and Kikka says it is calling for someone. She says the harp is calling out to someone who is pure and with a gentle spirit - Fraw. Fraw says she can't hear anything, but everyone asks her to give it a try and see. Fraw begins to play the harp, and suddenly the five Gundams turn blue and float in the air. Amuro grabs hold of one of them to go along, but they float through the roof without him. Outside, everyone sees the Gundams fly toward a mirror reflection of a dark world. Guntank explains that he heard a legend about Suda Doaka having a reverse mirror world. The five Gundams enter the mirror world and vanish. They appear in the dark world, and a Gaza-C guard runs away when he sees them. The image of Sieg Zeon appears and tells the Gundams that his army will send them to their graves. An army of flying monsters appears, and the Gundams charge forward to Sieg Zeon's castle. Fraw wonders why only the Gundams went to the mirror world, and Revil says it's their destiny as legendary heroes. Amuro wonders if there's anything they can do, and Guntank tells him they can pray for the Gundams to win. In the dark world, two mud giants block the gates, but the Gundams run past them. The Gundams enter the castle and are attacked by a Dooben-Wolf and Hamma-Hamma, but they're easily dispatched. In Lacroa, Char rides up to the castle. In the dark world, the Gundams are overwhelmed by snake monsters and Kapools.

Suddenly, the Gundams are transported to an all white place. They are frozen by their shadows and come under attack from a Kampfer. Zeta tosses his dragon shield in the air, and Nu bounces a magic spell off it to free ZZ Gundam from his evil shadow. ZZ Gundam cuts everyone else free, and the Kampfer stabs himself with his axe, which dispels the white dimension. In Lacroa, Char uses the power of the crystal ball, which summons the power of the Psyco Golem. In Sieg Zeon's castle, the party comes under attack from a Byg-Zam and three imperial guard knights. Zeta, ZZ Gundam and Nu stay behind so that Knight Gundam and Alex can proceed. Another knight attacks them on the stairs, and Alex fights him off. Knight Gundam rushes into a chamber and is confronted by an enormous regenerated Satan Gundam. Satan Gundam says the battle has yet to end and attacks Knight Gundam with magic. Nearby, Char enters the dark world and approaches Sieg Zeon's castle. Knight Gundam says he has no reason to fight Satan Gundam, and he thinks there's a reason they're meeting again. Knight Gundam asks him why he's in Suda Doaka, and Satan Gundam says he was resurrected to destroy Knight Gundam. Knight Gundam asks if he likes serving under Sieg Zeon, and Satan Gundam answers that he serves no one. Sieg Zeon appears and calls them both fools. Suddenly, Satan Gundam and Knight Gundam are connected by a glowing light. Knight Gundam realizes that the two of them are one and the same, and they combine into a golden Gundam. Sieg Zeon blasts the Gundam with magic, and he falls off the side of the tower. Char appears and uses the spirit of the Psyco Golem to restrain Sieg Zeon. Sieg Zeon falls down from his perch, and the Gundam falls off the tower. As he falls, the Gundam completes his transformation and flies back to the top of the tower. He runs Sieg Zeon through with his sword and kills him. The castle begins to fade, and the reflection of the dark world vanishes from Lacroa. Revil tells Amuro that it's now their duty to protect the peace in Lacroa and Suda Doaka. Everyone then watches as a shooting star ascends in the sky.

Commentary

The final episode of this short series brings the expected last battle. Amuro has returned to Lacroa with the Algus Knights, which brings all the players together. They're all quickly transported to Sieg Zeon's dark world, which reminds me of the dark world from The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past (or Triforce of the Gods, if you will). I expected Sieg Zeon would be some kind of monstrous mobile suit, but instead he just turned out to be a giant, ugly monster with the Zeon logo on his body. Satan Gundam returns in this episode, and we learn the not-so-shocking truth that he and Knight Gundam are two halves of the same Gundam. The new golden Gundam is of course victorious, bringing a happy end to this Gundam fairy tale.
