Episode 23: Teteth's Last Words

Review by Chris Guanche

Summary

On the Soleil, Phil says the plan to attack the Willghem was spoiled by spies. He asks what Harry was doing out there alone, and Kihel says she sent him to investigate the Willghem. Elsewhere, the Gallop arrives at the Donkey Bakery, which is located in a neutral area. Teteth pulls out her old doll and remembers talking to her mother about the Moon as a child. A man named Troy laughs over Teteth having a doll, and she makes a quick excuse for having it. A creepy man named Meme Midgard tells Troy to get back to work and pulls Teteth aside. She says from her observations that the Turn A seems to be more powerful than the SUMO. Keith talks to Loran about wanting to bake bread in a neutral area so that Dianna Counter and the Militia don't have to fight. Loran introduces Keith to Dianna, and she commends him on his hard work. Militia men paint captured FLATs and Wads red, and Mallygan isn't pleased by that. Gavane fixes Sochie's cap and proposes to her. She says it's too soon for that, and he says things change quickly in war and that he doesn't want to have any regrets. Fran takes a picture of a wounded dog and thinks that she should be taking pictures of happy things. Sochie asks her if she knows where Loran is, but she doesn't. Dianna sees Midgard at the bakery and recognizes him as an escaped Dianna Counter officer. She watches as Keith makes a deal with a businessman to buy Chinese medicine and increase his profits. Teteth spots Corin sitting alone and tells Midgard she might be able to use him. He tells her to keep an eye out on Kihel. As Corin carves a piece of wood, Teteth asks for his help. She stops when the Gallop returns and parks next to the Donkey Bakery. As Teteth plans things at night, she quickly grabs Troy when Bruno spots her from the Gallop. Bruno thinks that she gives her love freely and ignores her. Teteth asks Troy if he is from the Moonrace, and he says he hasn't seen anything good since coming to Earth. She says she might find happiness if she stays with people like him. Sochie sits in her Kapool and hopes that Loran will come back soon.

Fran takes pictures of the FLAT and sits inside of it. As she examines it closely she realizes it is the same FLAT she used to come down to Earth with Keith and Loran. Joseph asks her what she is doing, and she introduces herself. He says that since she is Loran's friend they can talk. As everyone settles in for the night and sleeps, Loran takes the Turn A out and holds Troy in his right hand. He goes over to a warehouse so that Troy can transport flower quickly. When Loran reaches the open window and moves his hand in for Troy to get off, Teteth jumps out with a rifle. She demands that Loran hand over the Turn A immediately. She identities the suit by name as the Turn A Gundam and says it was responsible for the Dark History and is a menace to space immigrants. Loran reluctantly agrees and lets Teteth take control of the Turn A. Teteth approaches the Gallop, and Dianna tries to shoot at her with a rifle but misses. Teteth grabs Dianna and jumps onto the Gallop's back. Loran runs up the Gallop and tells Teteth to surrender the Turn A. Bruno and Jacop use emergency full speed to knock Teteth off and move to a safe distance. Midgard jumps out of a window and lands on Corin. Corin sees the Turn A and begins to freak out. Midgard gets into a truck with Keith and tells him to drive out to the warehouse to get Loran's attention. Troy tries to convince Teteth that simply having the Turn A is enough, but she doesn't listen. She tells Loran that if she takes the Turn A to Dianna Counter she will be honored as a Moonrace citizen. She tells Troy that the brief hardship he has endured is nothing compared to the hatred she faced from the Moonrace. She demands that Loran hand over the shield and beam rifle, and he spots Midgard's signal. As the Gallop approaches, Dianna is set free and Teteth grabs the weapons. The Gallop is used to create a smoke screen with flower, and Loran jumps Teteth. The cockpit pod falls to the ground and Teteth attacks Loran. As he flips her over his shoulder, Midgard shoots her in the head. Loran and Troy are shocked by her death, and Dianna says that Dianna is the core of evil. Loran says that isn't true, but she doesn't listen to him.

Commentary

Some lost characters return here, and a new one appears. Since this is Teteth's last appearance, the show's crew takes every opportunity possible to show off her breasts. Shot after shot, those things are clearly visible and almost waiting to fall out of that little dress. We're introduced to creepy Midgard, who Teteth seems to be working for. Since Teteth wanted to become a Moonrace citizen by killing Dianna, she and Midgard probably both work for Agrippa. Her attempt to steal the Turn A goes horribly wrong, and Midgard kills her to cover up and keep his hands clean. The Moonrace doesn't seem to be so accepting of people from Earth, which fueled Teteth's hatred of Earth people and drove her to attempted murder just to gain acceptance from the Moonrace. We also get to see Corin again, and he's become a bum since his fight with Loran in the volcano. He freaks out when he sees the Turn A and babbles strange things. Perhaps the battle scarred him and his preexisting insanity has been intensified. As for Midgard, no one but Dianna seems to suspect him of anything wrong, so he could cause more damage in the future.
