Uso plays
around with the Victory Gundam's controls and messes with Suzy and
Odelo. Marbet tells him to stop fooling around and separate the
parts of the Victory Gundam. He then separates the suit and has
the Top and Bottom Fighters placed on trucks, while the Core Fighter
is taken inside a hangar. All the mechanics are shocked that the
Gundam pilot is a little kid. Elsewhere, Shakti walks through the
forest with baby Karlmann and Flanders while she sings. Hiding near
a tree, Cronicle wonders how she knows his sister's song, and why
she keeps appearing wherever he goes. At the Largane base, Gary
harasses a doctor and takes painkillers. Fuala is informed that Gary
is taking out the newly completed Godzorla suit. He wants to get
revenge for Sabat, and Fuala allows him to go so that it will make
their fight with the Victory Gundam easier. She also tells Dupre
to follow Gary with the Recarl mobile armor. Uso searches for Shakti
but instead finds Katejina. She wonders how a kid like him could
kill someone, and he says he didn't want to do it. She supposes
that is normal and asks him not to become a bad person. Cronicle
disguises himself as a mechanic and infiltrates the League Militaire
camp. Alarms blaze when the Godzorla is detected, and he fires a
signal flare when he spots the Godzorla. Gary figures that Cronicle
is alive, and he begins attacking the camp. Uso runs into the mess
hall while looking for Shakti, and Marbet asks him to fight because
she is still injured. Katejina objects to him going out because
he is only a kid, and she believes the killing should be limited
to adults. She says the war has nothing to do with a kid like him,
and he shouldn't abandon his search for Shakti. An old lady calls
her selfish and says she shouldn't have opened her mouth. Uso tells
Katejina he has to fight because he doesn't want her or Marbet
or anyone else to die. He runs off, and Marbet says he has a precious
heart that everyone wants to protect. Uso runs to the hangar and
takes off in the Core Fighter.
Gary continues
his assault against the camp, and Uso attacks Gary with the vulcan
cannons. They are ineffective because Gary uses the Godzorla's beam
rotor as a shield. Uso flies around until the Top Fighter is launched.
Uso docks with it and begins attacking Gary again. Gary wonders
where this fighter came from and where the Core Fighter disappeared
to. Nearby, Fuala and Utari Gira watch the battle from the Recarl
and decide that Gary's reward will be a warrior's death. Now that
test data has been obtained for the Recarl and Godzorla, she returns
to the Largane base. Uso docks with the Bottom Fighter and attacks
Gary in midair with the beam saber. Gary vows he will wash the Victory
Gundam with Uso's blood. Gary damages the Victory Gundam's foot
and slices off the right arm and part of the left, but Uso slices
the Godzorla in half. Totally mad, Gary shoots at the Victory Gundam
with his pistol. Uso threatens to fire his vulcan cannons, but
he doesn't. Gary is tied down to a gurney and taken away. Katejina
hates the League Militaire for making Uso fight, and Shakti wants
to go back to Kassarelia. Oi Nyung holds a meeting and says they
must evacuate, which makes Warren, Odelo and Suzy wonder what they
will do. As evacuation plans are made, Cronicle continues to spy
and sees that Oi Nyung is the leader. He spots Suzy trying to pee
on the floor and takes her to her room, where Shakti recognizes
his eyes. A squad of Zolos led by Utari takes off from the Largane
base and begins dropping bombs on the League Militaire camp. Oi
Nyung wants Uso to distract the enemy, and both Shakti and Katejina
tell Uso not to fight. He says he doesn't want to die, especially
without knowing what happened to his parents. He leaves, and Cronicle
saves Shakti and Suzy from falling debris and tells them to leave.
As the transport trucks attempt to escape, the Zolos relentlessly
destroy them. Uso takes off in the Core Fighter and attacks a Zolo
out of rage.
One thing
this series has proven so far is that there is never a lack of good
battles. I find that the sort of battles fought in this series are
very much like those in Gundam X. Actually, it should be
the other way around since this series was first. With this episode
we start to see some conflict, as Katejina makes clear that she
does not approve of Uso fighting and she hates the League Militaire.
Uso simply wants to survive, and I don't think he cares what the
League Militaire is fighting for. As for Cronicle, it's odd that
he would risk his life to save Shakti for no reason at all. Whatever
he's up to, he can certainly find out a lot of info about the League
Militaire. Maybe it will make up for his failure to defeat Uso.
Also, what's with people going crazy and attacking Gundams with
hand-to-hand weapons? Dozle Zabi went insane in the original series
and attacked the Gundam in such a manner, and now Gary has done
the same. I guess losing to white mobile suits has that effect on
people.
