Episode 10: Heero, Distracted by Defeat

Lady Une expresses doubts about Zechs. She feels Treize shouldn't give him special treatment, otherwise he'll develop an attitude. Treize and Lady Une meet with Zechs and Noin. Treize congratulates Zechs and Noin for their recent efforts. He explains that Lady Une has been placed in charge of the next operation. The two women leave Zechs and Treize to talk alone. Treize asks when Zechs will remove the mask and become Milliardo Peacecraft again. Zechs says that he wears the mask to bring his hatred out in battle. Zechs joins the meeting, and Lady Une explains the plan. A large group of Tauruses are to be transported to the OZ base in Siberia to have a new battle system installed. The transfer results from the lack of security at the Lake Victoria base. Lady Une has leaked news about two transports: one by plane, the other by train. The plan is to lure in the five Gundams again and destroy them. Lady Une gives a briefing on the strengths and weaknesses of each Gundam. She orders Zechs to attack the Wing Gundam, while Noin will stay behind with her at the base.

Heero is contacted personally by Doctor J. The scientist is worried about the learning system of the Taurus that allows it to ignore pilot commands. He orders Heero to destroy them. Duo shows up and promises to attack the train if Heero attacks the planes. Trowa and Quatre separately hear the news and move out, while Wufei is unable to fight because of his loss to Treize. Quatre and his Maganac Corps are the first to attack the train. As Quatre is about to destroy the tracks, he is shot and falls on them. Duo derails the train before it hits him. A large group of Leos emerges from the train and begins attacking. Heero arrives and is challenged by Zechs to a duel with beam sabers. The Tallgeese fights well, despite the fact that it loses and arm. As they all fight, Lady Une continues with her plans. She orders space fortress Barge to target a space colony with missiles. She broadcasts to the Gundam pilots to surrender or watch a colony be destroyed. Doctor J contacts her and says he will surrender, but he will not hand over any of the Gundams. Heero exits his Gundam, and Zechs is shocked that the pilot is a boy. He presses the self detonation button and destroys the Wing Gundam. His charred and bleeding body is tossed to the side. Everyone is shocked by his sacrifice. Trowa grabs Heero's body and takes him away. Noin relays to Lady Une a message from Treize that she has to be more graceful. The other Gundam pilots retreat in defeat.

Boy, Heero must sure have a death wish. He's already tried to kill himself several times, and this time he almost succeeds. This show is very exaggerated about so many things. How could Heero possibly survive being in his Gundam when it exploded? He can't be human, I say. And Lady Une does more horrible things every episode. Now she threatens to destroy a space colony. Why does Treize let her do as she wishes? He shouldn't give so much power to a psychopath like her.
