Zechs launches
in the Tallgeese to perform tests on the super vernier engine. He
flies towards the Lake Victoria base as missiles are fired at him.
He destroys the missiles and flies towards the control tower with
his beam saber. He narrowly misses destroying it. It seems he has
finally managed to conquer the Tallgeese. Elsewhere, a Cancer piloted
by a young man named Mueller and an Aries piloted by a young man
named Alex attack an Alliance base. The base commander offers his
surrender, but Mueller and Alex say that this is an execution and
proceed to kill all of them. After the mission is complete, they
head to the Lake Victoria base to get supplies for their attack
on the Mogadishu base. They are angered that their former instructor
Noin is away from the base, and they think that Zechs is coercing
her to do things for him. They ask for supplemental mobile suit
troops, but they are told that there are no longer any experienced
ones on base. They find Zechs with the Tallgeese and make fun of
the antique suit and about Otto's death. Zechs asks them to get
to the point, and they say they need his help to attack the Mogadishu
base. He agrees to go as their subordinate.
The next
day, they all move out to attack the Mogadishu base. Alex and Mueller
send Zechs first to act as a decoy for the base's powerful Noventa
Cannon. Zechs begins his attack and destroys a large number of mobile
suits and the Noventa Cannon as well. He asks the base's commander
to surrender, and the man agrees. However, Alex, Mueller, and their
other soldiers continue to fight. Zechs tells them to stop, and
they say he's overstepping his authority. They tell him that this
is an execution, and he demands that they stop this massacre. Mueller
becomes angry and attacks Zechs. Zechs easily kills him. Alex begins
firing missiles and knocks the Tallgeese into the water. He thinks
he's destroyed Zechs, but Zechs grapples him from behind and rips
his suit in two. He returns to the Lake Victoria base and has a
message delivered to Noin about what a mistake it is just to teach
techniques. He also looks at the progress of the reconstruction
of the Wing Gundam, which is coming along quickly. At the circus,
Trowa unveils his act, which is just Heavyarms. He begins firing
at a plane taking off from the OZ base and destroys it. Since he
plans to self detonate, he wastes most of his ammo. Catherine tries
to stop him, and he saves her from a Leo attack. He opens his cockpit,
and she jumps in and slaps him, saying what he's doing is selfish
and his life has more value than he thinks. Later, Heero and Trowa
part ways with the circus and drive off with Heavyarms on a truck.
Well, I'm
glad to see they decided to do an all Zechs episode (well, practically
all Zechs). These two students of Noin are quite abnormal, and from
their 'executions' they act more like Nazi SS soldiers than OZ soldiers.
They're also quite foolish for underestimating Zechs and thinking
they could kill him. I was glad to see him kill the both of them.
Unlike Heero, he can at least kill people when it's necessary. I
definitely wish there were more of Zechs. The Trowa storyline at
the end seemed like it was added at the last minute, since it's
only about three minutes long. It would have been better to keep
it an all Zechs episode.
