A group
of Leos is sent to investigate a missing ship. They find a debris
field, and one of them moves closer to investigate. The Deathscythe
Hell opens its wings and de-cloaks Duo destroys the scout Leo and
most of the other Leos. He steals the remaining cargo ship with
Leo parts and heads for a colony. At the lunar base, Tubarov is
informed about the disappearance of the ships. He assumes they were
destroyed by Gundams. A lackey tells him that Trant is in the area,
and Tubarov looks over his mission papers. He sees that Trant is
the only soldier in a group that includes Wing Zero, ten Tauruses,
space mines, and a ship. He orders his men to contact Trant immediately.
Elsewhere, Trant destroys most of the Tauruses with the Wing Zero.
He ignores Tubarov's call and examines his data. He believes that
if he could get data from a real battle it would be much better.
He knows that some Gundam pilots are still in space, so he heads
out to find Duo.
In a colony,
Duo sells the Leo parts in exchange for fuel for the Deathscythe
Hell. Hilde meets up with him and asks what she can do to help him.
Out of nowhere, Wing Zero appears inside the colony. Trant aims
the buster rifle at Duo and tells him to come along, otherwise the
colony will be destroyed. He intends to master the Zero System and
make Tubarov's mobile dolls obsolete. Trant places Duo inside Wing
Zero and has him fight the Tauruses. Duo destroys one and has a
vision of firing on the colony and killing Hilde. The Zero System
drives him crazy, and he stops fighting. A squad of Leos appear
and order Trant to hand over Wing Zero. He takes control of the
Gundam and attacks them. Hilde picks up Duo, and he heads out in
the Deathscythe Hell to fight Trant. Duo grabs him, and Trant has
a vision of Duo self detonating. He tries to get away from Duo,
and the Zero System finally drives him completely insane. He flies
off as a madman, and Duo thinks about the Zero System. He believes
that if anyone could master it, they'd be superior to all of humanity.
As much
as I like Duo, he seems to get a bunch of pointless episodes written
about him. That Trant guy sure was obsessed with Wing Zero, and
it drove him mad. The question is, where did he go with it? Also,
how did Hilde hook up with Duo. The last time we saw her, she was
on the surface of the Moon surrounded by a bunch of Leos. Did she
escape, or was she captured? This episode just goes to show again
how overpowered Wing Zero is. Any Gundam that can destroy a space
colony with one shot it way overpowered. Even though the Gundam
X can do the same, it requires outside power as well as G-Bits.
This isn't the same.
