Three mobile
dolls surround the crippled Wing Gundam and are about to destroy
it when three Treize Factions soldiers make a kamikaze run and destroys
them. Heero is forced to abandon the Wing Gundam and finds a dying
soldier. The soldier tells Heero to protect Treize and then dies.
Duke Dermail expects the battle to be over, but a lackey tells him
that it isn't. Zechs destroyed many of the mobile dolls in space,
and now Heero is fighting them in Luxembourg. Heero enters a castle
outside the city with his gun drawn. He takes an elevator downstairs
and finds Treize in a library. Treize asks him to shoot, but Heero
doesn't. Treize tells him that his battle is over, and Heero says
that's not true because many men are sacrificing themselves for
him. Heero says that Treize once had the power to change history
and must do so again. Treize has no intention of doing that, and
he pulls a gun on Heero. He decides that his death and Heero's are
connected. He puts down his gun and opens a secret wall. Behind
the wall is a brand new red Gundam.
In space,
OZ soldiers find the abandoned Wing Zero and lay explosives on it
to destroy it. Nearby, Zechs and Howard watch them. Zechs decides
to take Wing Zero. He attacks the soldiers and destroys most of
them. One of them manages to call for help, and Barge sends a carrier
with Taurus mobile dolls to fight Zechs. Zechs finds that he is
outnumbered, and the Tallgeese is heavily damaged. He sets the self
detonation device and abandons the Tallgeese. It explodes and destroys
the mobile dolls. One of the soldiers detonates the explosives on
Wing Zero, but it has no effect. Zechs destroys the remaining soldiers
and is amazed by Wing Zero's power. On Earth, Treize tells Heero
that the new Gundam Epyon can show him the future. If Heero has
no future, then Treize wants them both to die. Heero goes out into
the battle and destroys the mobile dolls. The Zero System activates
and takes control of him. He destroys all the mobile dolls and Treize's
soldiers as well. When he returns, Treize gives him a gun, but Heero
says he has no right to kill him.
This episode
would have been more enjoyable had it not been for Heero and Treize
blathering on about God and destiny and other things. The Epyon
is a weird looking suit, but it's very powerful. It can transform
into bird mode, and it has a powerful heat rod and beam saber that
is powered by the internal reactor. That makes it one fierce suit.
It was a shame that Zechs destroyed the Tallgeese, because I liked
that suit. One thing about Wing Zero that bothered me was what happened
to Trant, and why was it just sitting there? Did he die or abandon
it? Who cares, he was just a side character.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars
