Summary

The Argama leaves Side 2's Colony 13 and heads for a new destination. Kamille, Fa and Emma watch as Rosamia plays with Shinta, Qum and Haro. Kamille introduces Rosamia to Emma, and they both have a strange reaction. He says that Emma is a good woman, but Rosamia says no. Emma leaves, and Kamille asks Fa to take Rosamia to her room before he leaves. Kamille and Emma go to a meeting with Char, Apolly and Bright. Bright indicates on a map that Gryps 2 is being moved from the Gate of Zedan to attack the Moon. Kamille asks if it has been converted into a laser cannon, and Char tells him their job is to find that out. Rosamia interrupts the meeting and is taken to her room by Fa. Char and Bright tell Kamille to have her examined by Doctor Hasan. Kamille asks Char if he thinks she is a Cyber Newtype, and he says no. On the Dogosse Giar, Scirocco tells Reccoa she came to him because she was tired and wanted to rest. He says no one in the AEUG understood her and that she had to put up an appearance of a strong woman. Reccoa sees that this is true, and Scirocco holds her. He gives her the Messala and says he is going back to the Jupitris with the Palace-Athene. On the Argama, Apolly launches in his Rick Dias, followed by Emma in the Mk II and Kamille in the Zeta Gundam. The Dogosse Giar detects the mobile suits and sets out a Barzam squad to intercept. Bask orders Reccoa to go out as well and figures that if he watches her he can figure out what Scirocco is planning. Kamille, Emma and Apolly use asteroids to cover their suits as they approach Gryps 2. Emma scouts ahead of the Barzams and spots the feet of the Zeta Gundam and Rick Dias sticking out of the asteroids. She realizes she can't go back to the AEUG now and tells the Barzams to attack. Kamille spots the Messala and thinks that Sarah is the pilot. Emma and Apolly both fight off the Barzams together and destroy some of them. Emma then tries to grab the Messala, and Reccoa tells her to back off. Emma is shocked to hear Reccoa's voice and ends pursuit. On the Argama, Bright orders Char to launch in his suit, and Fa sees Rosamia huddled in the mobile suit hangar. Kamille attacks the Messala and slices off one of its arms. Reccoa shouts out his name, and he is shocked to hear her voice.

Kamille chases the Messala and asks who the pilot is. He grabs onto the Messala and steers it towards a hunk of metal. He disengages at the last moment and watches the Messala crash into the metal fragment. Reccoa gets out of the Messala, and Kamille leaves the Zeta Gundam to talk to her. He is glad that she is alive and asks if she had planned to join the Titans to spy on them. Reccoa explains that he is wrong and that she joined the Titans of her own free will. Kamille is shocked and can't believe it. He tells her that it's not too late and that she can come back to AEUG, but she says she can't accomplish anything there. He says that even if he is just a pilot he can still protect her. She says he is too good to her and that she will die of heartbreak if she leaves the Titans. She gets back into the Messala and tells Kamille that the Argama must leave the area because Gryps 2 has been converted into a colony laser. Kamille returns to the Argama and is asked by Emma if he met Reccoa, to which he answers he doesn't know. She asks where he went and slaps him when he says he goes where he wants. Emma asks him why he is so angry, and he tells her he is angry because he doesn't understand something. Rosamia tries to interfere, but Kamille tells her to leave. He then goes to a briefing with Emma, Bright and Char and explains his encounter. Emma tells Kamille he should have killed Reccoa, and he reminds her that she used to be a Titan. He asks if she can do whatever she wants, and she slaps him again. Bright believes what Reccoa says about Gryps 2 and decides to investigate. On the Dogosse Giar, Bask orders his men to fire the colony laser at Side 2. The Argama is spotted, and he tells his men to target it as well. As everyone gets into their suits, the colony laser is fired and passes over the Argama. The laser hits Side 2's Colony 18 and blasts two holes through it. Kamille is overwhelmed because he senses the deaths of all the civilians. Bask says that this will convince any potential AEUG supporters that the Titans have all the power. Reccoa is shocked by what Bask has done, but she realizes there is no turning back now.

Commentary

The Titans really are much worse than the Principality of Zeon. Even though the Zeon gassed and destroyed colonies, it was during the desperation of war. Here Bask destroys a colony of innocent civilians simply as a show of force. Kamille and Emma discover that Reccoa is alive, but things aren't as Kamille hoped. It would probably have been better for Reccoa if she just accepted his offer and lied about her involvement with the Titans. However, the will of Scirocco seems to strong for her to separate from. Rosamia begins to act very strangely here, much in the way that Cyber Newtypes act. I'm surprised Kamille didn't pick up any of this based on his encounters with Four. We're in the final stretch of the series now, and I don't doubt that the Titans will commit even more atrocities.
