Summary

The Quart continues on course toward Mizun. Leccee tells her companion to be quiet. Amu brings them food and tells them to get away from the door. Amu doesn't agree with Daba's idea of giving them food. Amu angrily tells Leccee that Daba is waiting for her. Gavlet's spacecraft continues to follow them. Aboard the dock, Leccee initially refuses to help out, and Amu teases her. They reach Mizun and Leccee contacts the military there as Daba asked, telling them there are hostages aboard the ship and they should help out. Daba thanks her for helping. She's glad to hear those words from Daba since she never hears them in the military. Gavlet contacts the same officer on Mizun, who is mad that people from Koam keep arriving. The Quart enters the atmosphere and starts its descent. Daba thinks about arriving at the planet of his birth. Kyao wonders if they're going to burn up since the ship has so much trouble going through the atmosphere. Eventually, they make it through unscathed. Leccee lands the shuttle towards the spaceport, but the magnetic anchors start malfunctioning and she has a difficult time doing it. The shuttle is immediately captured in a laser net by the military forces at the base, who start sending out their forces towards the shuttle. Kyao thinks Leccee has something to do with this, but she says she doesn't and heads out on an Axe to prove herself. She heads to the commanding officer and yells at him, telling him the hostages were going to escape, but with their promise broken, they can't now.

The commanding officer's Arorne is attacked and nearly falls on Leccee. Daba heads out on the Flicker to save her from the Arornes after her. They head back towards the shuttle as rebels listen in from nearby. The boss at the spaceport gets worried about them getting away. Gavlet says he'll be in trouble if they escape, but he'll keep his mouth shut if they let him help. Leccee gets upset after Daba locks her up again. Daba says there's no way they can trust someone who's one of the Elite 13, even if she did help them. Gavlet's spacecraft arrives and sends out ships to attack them. Amu is impressed with Kyao at first but gets worried when he reveals he has no experience in this type of combat. Daba runs towards the L.Gaim even though Lilith doesn't want him to go out. One of the power circuits on the shuttle goes out, allowing Leccee to escape her room. Daba heads out on the L.Gaim and is nearly struck by the cannons on Gavlet's ship. A Graia piloted by Gavlet attacks, and Gavlet tells Daba he won't be able to hit him and fires at him. Gavlet thinks he's shot down the L.Gaim but is surprised by Daba, who nearly takes him out. Meanwhile, the Quart lands on the water. Kyao and Amu are about to head out on the Works, but Leccee arrives with gun in hand. They see Daba and Gavlet's fighting heavy metals approach. Leccee aims the shuttle's cannon at the L.Gaim and is about to fire but hesitates. She wonders if she's in love with Daba. She has a vision of Chai and Gavlet and fires, but ends up hitting Gavlet's Graia instead by mistake. Kyao and Amu are able to escape. Leccee doesn't want to follow them to avoid further embarrassment. His Graia damaged, Gavlet is no match for Daba, who trashes his heavy metal even further. Gavlet has his entire space craft charge the L.Gaim, but they approach rebel's territory and are forced to retreat. The L.Gaim lands on the Works. Kyao asks Daba if he has friends on Mizun, but Daba says he doesn't. They head to meet up with the rebels. Leccee watches them from the shuttle, figuring she'll be seeing them again soon.

Commentary

Our heroes land on Mizun after an episode in space and face a lot of trouble from both the local military and Gavlet as well. Probably the most interesting aspect of this episode is that Leccee falls in love with Daba. Daba's quite good at attracting the ladies- first Amu and now her. I doubt Amu would let her get anywhere close to him, however. By the way, Leccee's called one of the Elite 13 multiple times in this episode, but as we'll see later on in the series, she's actually just a trainee. Although I suppose there's the interpretation that our heroes only think she's of that rank, the fact that those from the Poseidal military say the same means it's probably just a screw up in the script (or something they changed their mind on later).
