Aniverse
Returns by Chris 8:51 P.M. EST
For
several days we've been using a back up IRC network while Aniverse
was down. Now that Aniverse has been restored, so has the chat.
However, should this occur again, the #mahq channel on irc.irchighway.net
is our official back up. If you ever find Aniverse to be down, go
there to chat.

Aniverse
Shutdown by Chris 9:25 P.M. EST
Many
of you attempting to join the #mahq channel these last few days
may have noticed that it's inaccessible. This is because Aniverse
has been flooded with Denial of Service attacks and has been shut
down temporarily. Until then, you can find a temporary home for
the channel on irc.irchighway.net in the room #mahq.

P.M. EST
That was the call of Anime Boston, and I went to see what it was
all about. The turnout was huge, and the house was packed. I've
got the info on just one day there, what will be the smallest (and
least known) Boston Anime Convention there'll be. Check it out in
the Features section under Conventions & Appearances.

Tekkaman
Update by Joel 11:33 P.M. EST
Got
another update for the Tekkaman-Blade fans out there who surf and
tune into MAHQ. For this update, episodes 8 and 9 of Tekkaman-Blade
have been reviewed and come with screenshots. Like every other MAHQ
member, I'll use my actual name to follow along with the trend,
you won't have to refer to me as Tekkaman Blade all the time I guess
now *wink*.

-Finally, the Links section has been overhauled.
Also, I'm posting
this message from the forums on behalf of RGZ-91. If you can help
him out, please do. The message follows:
Hey everybody.
I have a favor to ask. Currently I'm collecting scans of MG kits
manuals (UC related). I'm collecting these manual scans since they
are great source of various MS background info. These info are currently
being compiled by me and it will be put on my website once I'm done
with it. I have created a txt file showing which kits I have/don't
have along with the basic scan size Here.
Hopefully the
explanation was clear regarding what I'm looking for and size of
the scans. If you have any that can help me, you can send the scans
(zipping them would be great) at rgzjpATyahoo.co.jp (remove AT to
e-mail), DCC send it in the #mahq IRC channel, or post links to
your website. All submissions would be greatly appreciated. Hopefully
I'll get some replies. If you also happen to have any MSV kits,
I'm interested in those as well. Just tell me which kits you have.
I haven't made a complete list for MSV yet.

Various
Updates by Chris 1:43 P.M. EST
As
some of you may have now realized, my update yesterday was indeed
a prank. I've archived it in the Features section, and you can read
more about it there. You may have also noticed a strange mascot
yesterday, which has now been replaced by the Zeta Gundam. The Zeta
will serve as our final mascot before the re-design. Now it's time
for real updates. Today I've got re-written reviews (with screenshots)
for episodes 17-24 of Macross. Also, there's several new
profiles in the Macross mecha section with pictures courtesy
of Jameson Leaser, who has also updated the Big List. Mark064 has
provided new pictures for Gundam 0083 to replace some low
quality ones and fill in previously missing pictures and profiles.
Finally, there's a new picture for SEED-MSV's GINN WASP
Type, which was sent in by exZERO and cleaned up by Psycho_Al.

MAHQ's
Last Hurrah by Dale 12:08 A.M. EST
Like
Chris before me, I am now going to use my real name. Instead of
Lore, you will see me as Dale from now onward. MAHQ, as you know
it, is going the way of the dodo bird. This will be the final anniversary
for the site in its current incarnation. Myself, Chris, Damian (you
may know him as 'tyrant' in the chat room), and Jen are currently
working on the beginnings of MAHQ 2.0, with a planned launch sometime
later in the year. Anniversaries are always marked with the premieres
of new things, and this one is no exception. We have a new staff
member, Joel, who is currently writing reviews for the new Tekkaman
Blade section. He is already off to a great start with 7 reviews
under his belt. Damian has also whipped up a snazzy new banner for
MAHQ that you can find under Features. Feel free to use this banner
on your homepage to show support. In the near future, you can expect
to see bits and pieces of MAHQ 2.0 previewed here as they fall into
place. The coming months will be very exciting indeed for fans of
mecha based anime.
Special
Update by Chris 12:02 A.M. EST
Today's
update marks the third anniversary of MAHQ, and I'm amazed the site
has come so far in the last few years. As part of the anniversary
update, Click Here.
