Dunbine's End by Chris 2:35 P.M. EST
It's always a special occassion when a section is completed with full reviews, and today is one of those days. Setting a record for the most reviews ever in a short period of time, Brian today presents episodes 44-49 of Dunbine. After a short break, he'll be plunging right into another classic Yoshiyuki Tomino series, Heavy Metal L.Gaim. In case you're wondering, yes, we are trying to make anime review sections to correspond to the mecha sections. Aside from L.Gaim, you can expect to see a section for Megazone 23 in the near future. However, the limited availablity of Dougram, Dragonar, Dragon's Heaven and SPT Layzner means they will probably never be reviewed. As is standard on Fridays, you can also read Ben's latest Mecha Musings column. I introduced the Mailbag as a new feature a few months ago, but unfortunately it has fallen off the radar after three installments. I need more questions to be able to sustain it, so keep them coming in. Because Mecha Musings is a regular Friday feature, I will probably move the Mailbag's designated day to some other point in the week.

Aura War by Chris 8:33 P.M. EST
Dunbine moves closer to completion with Brian's reviews for episodes 38-43. On an unrelated note, I ask that people please not send me any lineart for the Gundam Astray Out Frame G-Flight. While I appreciate all the work fans do in providing lineart, I've already received about a half dozen submissions for it. I don't want anyone to waste their time cleaning up lineart that I already have.

Jungle Warfare by Chris 11:55 P.M. EST
The new VOTOMS section is further expanded with my reviews for episodes 18-21. On another note, I've removed the 'anime reviewer' position from the Jobs page as I have received many qualified applications and can't handle anymore. If you have sent in an application and haven't received a response yet, please be patient. The manga and columnist positions will remain open to application.

The Big 5 by Chris 4:10 P.M. EST
For those who keep track of these sorts of things, today is MAHQ's fifth anniversary. Five years ago, our site started out as FAHQ on a puny little free server. I never imagined that the site would achieve the success that it has or even still be around after five years. It's been a long road, but it's been a great ride so far. In celebration of our fifth anniversary, Dale and I have worked very hard to create something special with the help of some new contributors. I'm very proud to unveil 5 new sections and a whopping 54 new reviews, bringing our number of anime/manga reviews to 820.

Armored Trooper VOTOMS- I'll be covering this series, and you can read my reviews for episodes 1-17.

Aura Battler Dunbine- You may know Brian Shea as the webmaster of Gundam Encyclopedia, but he's also moonlighting here with Dunbine. Check out his reviews for episodes 1-13.

Fafner- Peter Laliberte comes aboard to cover this recent series. He has reviewed episodes 1-4.

s-CRY-ed- Chris Perez joins the team with complete reviews for the entire manga series. He'll also be reviewing the anime soon.

Zone of the Enders- This popular anime and game series will be handled by Dustin Corallo. You can read his reviews for the OVA Idolo as well as episodes 1-2 of Dolores, i.

But there's more....

Might Gaine- Mark064 strikes once again with reviews for episodes 6-10.

GaoGaiGar- After months of technical difficulties, Corey returns with reviews for episodes 3-10.

Last but certainly not least, Ben has sent in his latest piece for Mecha Musings.

It's been a great five years, and the next five will probably prove just as challenging. Here's what we have on our slate for this year:

Gasaraki
Ghost in the Shell
Heavy Metal L.Gaim
s-CRY-ed

At this time I'd like to take a moment to thank a few people who have made invaluable contributions over the years. They are: Mark Simmons, Neo-Era, RGZ-91, Mark064, Ryukami, Psycho_Al, Dave Skinner, Burke Rukes and Corben. Without their help and the help of countless others this site would not be possible. Thank you to all our contributors and readers who make this site worth visiting.
