The last bit of Gundam X by Chris 3:25 P.M. EST There have been several Gundam X updates recently, but today's is a bit different. Nearly two years ago, I began re-reviewing the entire series to create better reviews at a higher standard. It's been a slow process, but it's finally over today with my re-reviews for episodes 9-13. Now that this is wrapped up, it's time to move on to some other projects.
The Gundam Crusader by Chris 11:28 P.M. EST In a rare second update during one day, I've written an editorial on the subject of Wikipedia and Gundam entitled "The Gundam Crusader."
Heading to Mars by Chris 11:15 A.M. EST After a long absence, Dustin returns with a new review for episode 9 of ZOE: Dolores, i. There's also some new lineart today for Gundam X - crashandburn sent in several images for custom Jenices, and Nader sent in new lineart for the G-Falcon's color scheme from the After the Moonlight manga.

Revenge is a dish best served cold by Chris 4:58 P.M. EST As promised before, today's update brings us back to Merowlink, with new reviews for episodes 6-8. The review for episode 7 is worthy of note, because it turns out that it's the 850th anime review I've written. That's a nice number, but also a bit scary. However, it's taken me six years to get that far, so let's see how long it takes for 1,000. In the other part of today's update, Orochi Kusanagi sent in new lineart for all the mobile suits from Silhouette Formula 91.
On another note, I'm looking for a new reviewer to take over the Planetes section. If you're interested, please see this thread for more information.

It's that time of year again by Chris 10:02 P.M. EST Although I can hardly believe it, another year has come and gone. Today marks six years since MAHQ first went live (although it was FAHQ back then). Yes, it's been six years since this website started up, and at the same time it feels like a lifetime and a short instant. This site has certainly come a long way since April 2000, and much of our success is thanks to the continued support of our fans. In celebration of the sixth anniversary, several new sections are going live today, and a someone else is joining our staff.
-First up is a new section for Escaflowne, reviewed by Brian. Although his next series for review is supposed to be Ideon, consider this an extra treat. Brian used to run a website called "Visions of Escaflowne", but it was recently shut down. The reviews he wrote live on here, and you can read his reviews for episodes 1-26, covering the whole series. A review for the movie will be coming soon.
-Next up is a new series for Joel, fresh off Tekkaman Blade. Now, he's taking on Blue Gender, and you can read his reviews for episodes 1-4.
-Finally, Jonathan Oliver joins the team with the sci-fi remake of Akira Kurosawa's Seven Samurai, the cleverly titled Samurai 7. You can read Jonathan's reviews for episodes 1-3, and more reviews will be on the way soon.
On the subject of reviews, it's time for a bit of housecleaning. Out with the old and in with the new is what the cliche says, right? With that in mind, two dead sections are saying their farewells today: Vampire Princess Miyu and Outlaw Star. It's not often we remove sections, but we decided that those two were excess baggage and would not be updated any further. Speaking of other things that are on their way out the door, today we say goodbye to the old Forum. It was good for awhile, but it's now outclassed by Mecha Talk. As of this writing, the new Forum has nearly 400 members and 6,000 posts. We couldn't be more pleased with the response to the new Forum so far.
Now that we're into year six, it's time to mention what you can expect to see. First, the long-delayed site redesign is back on track, so you can expect more news on that soon. There are also new sections on the way, as I'll be reviewing Megazone 23 and Gasaraki. You can also expect new updates to sections that haven't been updated in awhile. Once again, I'd like to thank everyone who visits MAHQ. It's because of you that we've been able to stick around for six years.
