Fond Memories by Dale 7:40 P.M. EST
MAHQ will be down for 24 hours in memory of Ben Feld. I too have known Ben for as long as Chris has. He was selfless, kind, and always a pleasure to be around. He was there during my first convention and during my first panel. Aside from Chris and Tanya, he was usually the first and last person I would talk to at the club. He was always contributing and was part of what makes AGA such a successful club. The last time I saw him was at Yasumi Con 2004. We had great fun that day, and that is how he will live on in my mind.

To join AGA in support of Ben's cause, an uncut US release of One Piece, here is a link to a file containing his petition to be mailed to 4Kids. I encourage everyone fill it out. It will be permanently placed in the Features section shortly.

To light an online candle in his memory, please visit AnimeFury Studios.

Remembering a Friend by Chris 4:54 P.M. EST
There won't be an update today. I'm dedicating this post to my friend Ben Feld, who died yesterday in a tragic and completely avoidable car accident. Some readers may remember Ben as one of the co-hosts of the mecha panel at Yasumi Con 2003. Ben was also an avid convention-goer, so if you're a Florida resident you may have seen him cosplaying as a Ranger, Lupin the 3rd, Sanji, Orochimaru or a host of other characters. Ben was one of the nicest guys I've had the pleasure of knowing in my life, and he will be missed.

Lineart and more lineart by Chris 9:59 P.M. EST
It's been awhile since the last update. Yasumi Con has come and gone, and a report will be up soon (including the report for last year, which is now 1 year late). Anyway, today there's a substantial load of new lineart. First up, there's some new lineart for SEED-MSV: Raider Full Spec, DINN Special Electronic Installation Type and Verne. Thanks go to Mark064 for cleanup and Jita for the Raider pic. Next up is some new transformation lineart for SEED DESTINY from MavHunterExtreme. Check out the transformed modes for the Saviour Gundam, Chaos Gundam and Gaia Gundam. Next up is SEED, with some Skygrasper lineart from Cypress X. Mark064 strikes again with three pieces for G Gundam: 7th Fight. Finally, there's also a new section for the Astray OVA shorts.

More Astray by Chris 10:15 P.M. EST
Today's update is rather brief. I've posted a review for the Blue Frame OVA promo clip, so check it out. Also, there's some new lineart for the Skygrasper w/Sword Striker, which was contributed by Hwing and cleaned up by Mark064.

Astray Attack by Chris 10:21 A.M. EST
Although many updates recently have focused on SEED DESTINY, this time it's Astray's turn. First up is a review for volume 2 of the manga. Also, there's a review for the Red Frame OVA promo clip. I was hoping to also include the overhauled mecha sections in this update, but that will probably have to wait until tomorrow.

On an unrelated note, this coming weekend is the second annual YasumiCon convention in Miami, Florida. Once again, Dale and I will be running a mecha panel, but this year we'll be joined by Corben as well. This year, the con runs two full days instead of just one. The mecha panel will take place on Saturday at 1:00 P.M. in room GC 150 of Florida International University's University Park campus. For further directions or a complete schedule of events, visit the Yasumi Con website.
