End of the Year by Chris 6:25 P.M. EST
Well, another year has come and gone here at MAHQ. It's been quite a year, but now it's time to look forward to 2004. Later I'll be laying out our plans for the next year, but for right now it's time for the last update of 2003. Now available in the Fanfics area is chapters 16-25 of Neoguy23's fanfic The Next Battle. Before I close off this year, I have one announcment. As of now, I'm going to ask that people stop submitting model reviews. The pile I've amassed has become quite large, and I need to catch up on it before putting anything else new. Happy New Year.

Merry Christmas by Chris 5:59 P.M. EST
The holidays are here, and so are some new reviews. Today, I've got reviews for volumes 6-8 of Gundam: The Origin. Also, the mecha section for The Origin has been updated up to volume 8. There'll be more stuff coming after Christmas, so until then Happy Holidays to all and all that good stuff, etc.

Poll Results by Chris 8:50 A.M. EST
Due to a brief site outage, this post comes a little late. As of now, our poll has ended and voting has been shut down. The results are as follows: 271 votes in favor of removing Slayers and Lost Universe, and 268 votes against. It was a very tight race, but as the results dictate, those sections will soon be removed. On behalf of Dale, I want to thank everyone who participated in this important decision.

Bishonen and Pirates by Chris 12:20 P.M. EST
Now it's time to let the updates start pouring out. I've gotten a lot of model review submissions, so it'll take awhile to get them all out. But for today, I've got these 5 ready to go:

By Matt Bellamy:
HG 1/100 GAT-X102 Duel Gundam Assault Shroud
HG 1/100 GAT-X103 Buster Gundam
HG 1/100 GAT-X105 Aile Strike Gundam
HG 1/100 GAT-X303 Aegis Gundam

By Winn Sevilla:

The Sign of Zeta comes to PS2 by Chris 4:20 P.M. EST
Last week, Bandai released Capcom's Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam: AEUG vs Titans for the PS2, and already the game is a top seller. Additionally, GameSpot is reporting today that the game will be released in the U.S., but no release date has been set. Presumably, any release of the game will tie-in to the DVD release of the TV series and any possible airing on Cartoon Network.

Updates Here and There by Chris 11:00 P.M. EST
There's some small items to address in this update. Several profiles in the SEED section feature new specs courtesy of the ever-helpful Mark Simmons. They are as follows:

METEOR
ZGMF-600 GuAIZ
ZGMF-X13A Providence Gundam

Also, the Strike Rouge has been assigned its official new model number: MBF-P02. Additionally, several ships in the section have been given new specs. The battleship Menelaos has been officially designated as being part of the Agamemnon class. Finally, there's a new section open for the new manga series X Astray.

On a separate note, I'd like to address something I've seen a lot of questions revolving around lately. Recently, a 'Mobile Suit Gundam Side Story' bootleg DVD has shown up for sale on ebay and other sites. The cover features Gundam Units 4-5 from the Space, to the End of a Flash manga sidestory. Do not be confused. This is no OVA, but rather a collection of cut scenes ripped from the PS2 game Mobile Suit Gundam: Encounters in Space. Don't waste your money on this product.

Scan update by Chris 4:52 P.M. EST
Here's an update on the scan request situation. My thanks go out to Lord of Chaos and Adam Bullock for sending in the GuAIZ and Forbidden Blue, respectively. That means I now only need the BuCUE Tactical Recon type. One additional thing I forgot to request was the text for the Strike Gundam IWSP. If you have either of these, a scan would be much appreciated. Also, one more thing I should mention about model reviews. There are quite a few now that are lacking pictures. If you have good quality pictures or can take pictures, feel free to submit them. Finally, please keep voting in our poll, but be aware you can only vote once.

A poll, and not the north one by Dale 11:54 A.M. EST
MAHQ is considering doing some housecleaning and is passing on the chores to you, the fans. The topic you will be voting on is whether to remove or keep the Slayers and Lost Universe sections. The reason for this poll is not storage concerns (we have plenty of server space). We just want to determine if these two sections still retain value on the site, or if they are merely taking up space on the menu bar. The poll will run from today until the 16th.

Not an update, not really by Chris 6:25 P.M. EST
I don't have anything new really for this update, but there are a few important items. First, I'll direct your attention to the above link for model review submission guidelines. That'll tell you all you need to know for submitting model or toy reviews. Second, I'm going to make a request for help that I hope some reader can fulfill. I am in need of text scans from Hobby Japan magazine, specifically for SEED-MSV. What I need is the following:

-The text accompanying the TMF/TR-2 BuCUE Tactical Reconnaissance Type.
-The text for the YXF-600R GuAIZ Experimental Firearms Type.
-Lineart and text for the newest item, GAT-X255 "Forbidden Blue."
