Today I have a new rant entitled "Hollywood Execs Like Slashing Anime", which recently finished an extended three week run at About.com. A new rant has been posted, and you can read it by Clicking Here.

A review of the very funny episode 9 of Trigun has been posted along with screenshots. Chris is going to slow down with the reviews and take a little break soon, so I will fill in with my Trigun reviews.

Just to remind everyone, aside from reviewing anime series, we do also cover fantasy novels. With that, today we present a long delayed review for The Death of Chaos in the Recluce section. The Lore Store has also been updated. In some fantasy news, the date for Robert Jordan's new Wheel of Time book Winter's Heart has been set for November 7, 2000. L.E. Modesitt's Scion of Cyador is on track for September 2000. George R.R. Martin's A Storm of Swords, the latest in the series A Song of Ice & Fire, is set for release on October 31, 2000. I mention this because this is the next series I will cover after finishing Recluce.

Although the Macross 7 TV series is over, there's still a few things left to review. Today I present a review for the short movie Macross 7: The Galaxy Is Calling Me. I also updated the Links page with a link to a Trigun review and information site.

Trigun is back with a review and screenshots for episode 8. We are also closing in on a milestone for Macross, as nearly all animated media bearing its name has been reviewed. I believe we are the only site on the net to feature this. Our ultimate goal is to do the same with Gundam.
-Lore

Well, Lore is correct about the milestone part. Today is the end of the line for the Macross 7 TV series with my reviews for episodes 47-49. Shortly following this will be the scattered sequels to the series.

July 24, 2000

Today I present another set of good Macross 7 with reviews for episodes 44-46. Tomorrow marks the end of the TV series and the last set of reviews. Sad, ain't it?
-Chris

July 22, 2000

Today I present reviews for four solid episodes of Macross 7 with coverage of episodes 40-43.

What better way to celebrate July 20th than with screenshots and a review of episode 7 of Trigun!

July 19, 2000

Well, there's some good news today. Macross 7 is actually becoming a better series as it winds down to a conclusion. Take a look for yourself and read my reviews of episodes 36-39. In another update, we've recently opened a Yahoo club that will function as a companion to this website. It will offer more interactive features such as chat and message boards. You can visit it by Clicking Here.

July 16, 2000

Today I have even more Macross 7 with reviews (no screenshots) for episodes 33-35. No one will be happier than me when this series ends. On another note, we'd really appreciate it if you could send us e-mails about what you think of the site. We need to know what visitors think and what you want from this site. Thanks.

July 15, 2000

After a short break, there is more Trigun available. Episode 6 has been put up along with screenshots.

July 12, 2000

In case you hadn't guessed, there's more Macross 7 being served up today with reviews (no screenshots) for episodes 30-32.

July 11, 2000

Today I present reviews for a string of bad Macross 7 episodes, namely episodes 27-29. The pains that I endure for this site.

July 10, 2000

Macross returns to the website today with my review of episode 26 of Macross 7. One review is less than I normally do, but if Lore can do it, so can I. By the way, this review was written several months ago and does not reflect my current opinion of the series.

July 8, 2000

Trigun, Trigun, and more Trigun. Next up is episode 5 complete with screenshots and a review.
-Lore

Speaking of rants, today I've uploaded a new rant entitled "When Fans Go Too Far." This is the second original rant I wrote for About.com, and it recently finished it's two week run there. Check their website for a new rant about editing in anime.

July 7, 2000

I'm stuck with filling the review void while Chris contemplates writing another rant before week's end, so here is a review with screenshots from episode 4 of Trigun.

July 5, 2000

I am continuing my Trigun theme today with screenshots and a review from the hilarious episode 3. This series is really picking up, and I look forward to bringing you more of it. Chris purchased F91 himself to get around my Gundam ban, but he will have to finish Macross 7 if he wants to ever see the rest of Gundam X, Z, ZZ, (not G, he hates that), or the 8th MS Team in this lifetime.
-Lore

July 4, 2000

Lore continues Trigun today with screenshots and a review from episode 2. Lore has also decided to withhold Gundam fansubs from Chris until he completes reviewing the series he hates with a passion, Macross 7.

On the other hand, Chris managed to get ahold of some Gundam anyway and presents a review for the movie Mobile Suit Gundam F91.

July 3, 2000

Today marks many new things. We are debuting a Trigun section with a review and screenshots for episode 1. This is the first anime review by Lore, who will now be writing reviews in addition to doing site design. We have also closed down our old Crosswinds site, so please update your bookmarks.

In other news, we are very pleased to hear that Bandai has selected the original Gundam series as the next one for release; we look forward to bringing you the reviews!
