More Yasumicon info by
Chris 2:05 A.M. EST
Time for another convention infodump, but I'd like to first congratulate the winners of our Yasumicon VIP passes. With that out of the way, here's all the MAHQ-relevant info you'll need if you're attending:

-Gundamn! live recording will run Saturday from 4 - 6 P.M. in Graham Center (GC) 150. If you attended last year's show, it's the same room. Join me, Dale, Adam and Paul as we discuss Gundam's 30th anniversary, review Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and other topics.

-Hater's Versus live recording will run from 6:15 - 7:45 P.M. in the same room. Adam, Paul and myself will be joined by hater #1, Austin Blake, to unload a bunch of hate on different topics. This recording will be included with the Gundamn! panel for a show-killing episode.

-On Sunday, I will join Pedro Cortes (aka Pedobear South) of TOMOPOP for the Hot Blood and GAR panel, which runs from 2 - 3:45 P.M. in Panel Room 2. This panel will not be recorded as a podcast, so you'll have to stop on by if you want to hear the discussion.

Other con events of interest:

-Throughout the weekend there will be a Maid Cafe, featuring costumed maids and food catered by our friends at Epic Sugar Works.

-If you like to look at weird, random pics and Internet memes, there's a Weird Pictures panel by ESW's Angel De Fana, which will run Saturday night from 9 to 11 p.m. in GC 150. It's 18+ only, so bring a photo id.

-Not necessarily mecha related, but lots of mecha fans like nice cars. If that appeals to you, Juan Mendez, a longtime friend to MAHQ, will be hosting an Initial D panel Sunday from 1 - 2:45 P.M. in GC 150.

-Most definitely mecha related is the Gunpla panel, hosted by TOMOPOP contributor Andres Cerrato. It'll run from 8 - 9:45 P.M. Saturday in Panel Room 1.

-Finally, if you like games, you should check out the Destructoid.com panel, from 3 - 5 P.M. Sunday in GC 150.

The full list of events can be found at Yasumicon's website. Be sure you don't miss main event attractions like the two shows from video game music band Arm Cannon.

Go to Yasumicon, win crap by Chris 11:14 A.M. EST
Yes, I know it's shocking that there's an update. If you live in the South Florida area, this coming weekend is the 7th annual Yasumicon at Florida International University. As always, Dale and I will be at the convention. Like last year, we'll be joined by Paul and Adam for another live recording of Gundamn! Exact details will be posted soon, but in addition to the Gundamn! show, we'll be doing a hater's show with Gundamn!'s resident hater, Austin Blake.

So about here is where the winning crap part comes in. Last year, we gave away several VIP passes that will get you some cool stuff as a visitor. So here's what you need to do if you'll be attending the con: send me an email with "Yasumicon" in the subject line and your real name in the email body. I don't need anything else - no explanation of what you want or why you want to win. Entries will be accepted until Wednesday night at 11:59 P.M. EST.
