For all Macross fans by Chris 10:55 P.M. EST
There's no content update today, but I'll have some stuff later in the week. Today this space is being used as a public service announcement for you convention goers. Planning on visiting Anime Expo this year? Like Macross? Here's an announcement on the Macross panel straight from Macross Compendium creator Egan Loo:

Anime Expo 2004 Macross Panel
Come celebrate over two decades of Macross, the landmark space romantic drama (which happens to include J-pop and transforming mecha). Featured panelists include the translators for every single Macross anime in America as well as MacrossWorld.com organizers. See rare Macross items and hear the latest on this continuing phenomenon.

Date: July 3, 2004
Time: 9:00 pm
Place: Anaheim Convention Center Room 303 (Live Programming 1), Anaheim, CA

Now, unfortunately I won't be able to attend because I happen to be on the wrong coast of the United States, but if you're going to be at Anime Expo, you should definitely check it out.

SEED Revamp by Chris 2:25 P.M. EST
After quite a bit of work, I've now uploaded a complete overhaul of the SEED and SEED-MSV mecha sections. One of the first things you'll notice is that the profiles are all in present tense now. This makes them flow more smoothly. Before I list that, there's two new sections for the PC games Mobile Suit Gundam: Advanced Operation and Mobile Suit Gundam: The Return of Zeon. Lineart for The Return of Zeon mecha is courtesy of Mark064. There's also new
custom lineart for the MS-19 Dolmel, courtesy of I Jadewing I. Also, there's new lineart for the Hi Nu Gundam, courtesy of Spectre D. As for the SEED upgrade:

-The profile for the Strike Gundam has been broken apart into 5 new profiles. Now, each configuration of the Strike Gundam with a Striker pack has its own profile. This makes things cleaner and easier to organize. Now, it goes like this: GAT-X105 Strike Gundam, GAT-X105+AQM/E-X01 Aile Strike Gundam, GAT-X105+AQM/E-X02 Sword Strike Gundam, GAT-X105+AQM/E-X03 Launcher Strike Gundam, and GAT-X105+P204QX Lightning Strike Gundam.

-Similarly, the Strike Rouge is now the MBF-02 Strike Rouge and MBF-02+AQM/E-X01 Aile Strike Rouge.

-Still going with the same pattern, the Dagger is now the GAT-01A1 Dagger and GAT-01A1+AQM/E-X04 Gunbarrel Dagger.

-The GAT-X105 Strike Gundam IWSP is now the GAT-X105+P202QX Strike Gundam IWSP.

-There's finally a Burke's format profile for the ZGMF-X13A Providence Gundam. Also, there's new profiles in the MSV section for the AQM/E-X04 Gunbarrel and MBF-02+P202QX Strike Rouge IWSP. Similar changes are coming soon for the Astray sections. Thanks go out to Mark Simmons for suggesting this redesign and providing some new information on some profiles.

Gundam SEED DESTINY by Chris 8:43 P.M. EST
Ever since last year there's been rumors of an on again off again sequel to SEED. Now, there's what seems to be some definite confirmation of something. Gundam Wingatch poster darkhunger has discovered that Sunrise has registered http://www.gundam-seed-d.net and http://www.gundam-seed-destiny.net in this thread. If you recall, nearly two years ago to the day it was uncovered that Sunrise registered http://www.gundam-seed.net. Very soon after, the series was announced and the site went live. Going by the pattern from two years ago, it's very possible we could be seeing Mobile Suit Gundam SEED DESTINY this fall. Of course, the registration of the domain could be a red herring similar to the many names game companies register to throw people off. However, Bandai doesn't have any prior history in using such deceptive tactics, so this could be the real deal. We'll see soon enough.

Fly Me to the Moon by Chris 9:00 P.M. EST
It shouldn't be too hard to guess what the gist of today's update it. Unsurprisingly, it's a set of re-reviews for episodes 36-39 of Gundam X. As I said before, now that I finished 14-39, it's time to go back and redo 1-13. Expect those very soon. There's also some SEED-MSV updates. There's a few updated names and entries, along with lineart for the UTA/TE-6 GOOhN Underground Mobility Test Type. Thanks go out to Mark Simmons for the lineart and information, as well as Mark064 for cleaning it up. Finally, there's a new section for the horrid game Gundam 0079: The War for Earth. Extra special thanks go out to Mark064 for bearing what was surely excruciating pain at sitting through this game.

From the Earth to the moon by Chris 5:17 P.M. EST
No, today's update isn't about that Tom Hanks miniseries. Rather, it's about re-written reviews for episodes 33-35 of Gundam X. I've also tweaked some of the listing in the Gundam X mecha section. Finally, the Store has been updated to include DVD links for SEED.
