Crackpot Mecha Columnist Committed to Sanitarium

December ,2006.

By IH8MechaMusings

Chicago, IL - Ben Davis, column writer for the MAHQ, a mecha anime enthusiast web portal, was recently forced from his home in suburban Chicago and taken to the Center for the Ailing Otaku in Baltimore, MD. Davis, former writer of the Mecha Musings column which focused on the consistencies of reality in science fiction anime series was taken to the CAO after relatives contacted authorities fearing for his safety.

Since the conclusion of his column, Davis has gradually started to become increasingly unstable, breaking into rhetoric about mecha continuity and logic in the middle of the work day, at home, and even in his sleep. Davis strongly denies all allegations stating that he is fine, in completely control of his actions and hates that g-d damn Cosmic Era with a passion and plans to create his own Gundam in his backyard.

We contacted MAHQ, who had previously been hosting his column, but the website told the Gunion that they take no responsibility for the sanity of their writers. "We're all a little bit insane, but we have to draw the line somewhere."

We spoke to the doctor in charge of Davis' care at the CAO, who asked not to be named in print, and were told his delusions were increasing in frequency and detail. He had even told several people that he was continuing his work for MAHQ on a new project, something about a monthly newspaper. "We're not seeing a lot of progress here. I don't know when we will be considering releasing him. He done gone completely mad."

Davis refused comment.
