GUNDAM FIGHT MERGES WITH WWE
January, 2007.
Tokyo Center - After an unprecedented drop in viewers in FC 64 following FC 60's highly violent and unexpected Gundam Fight, the Gundam Fight Parliament has entered into an agreement with the once world-renowned World Wrestling Entertainment company to try and capitalize on what has become a desensitized audience that now demands a more intense form of combat.
The World Wresting Entertainment company, owned by Vincent Kennedy McMahon (a clone of the original owner of WWE), has agreed to supply DNA-replicated clones of some of the most popular wrestlers of the 20th and 21st century for use as pilots in the Gundam Fight. With recent developments in nanotechnology and cloning precision, clones can now be made to mimic the attitude and personality of individuals at specific points during their lives. Some of the more recognizable names of those being introduced in the 15th Gundam Fight are Hulk Hogan circa 1988, Andre the Giant circa 1978, and The Undertaker circa 1995. All clones will be preprogrammed with knowledge of the Mobile Trace System so as to allow easy use of their newly crafted WWE Special Edition Gundams, (see picture at right). Viewership for the 15th Gundam Fight is expected to be high, competing for prime time attention only with NBC's 185th season of "The Biggest Loser," featuring Tetsujin 28.
Defending Gundam Fight Champion Domon Kasshu has voiced concern that incorporating clones of ancient wrestlers into the mix may dilute the Gundam Fight into a pointless storytelling of ridiculousness, with no real reasoning behind it. The general public disagrees, as 75 of 100 polled individuals said good entertainment value is more important to them than who controls the governing of the Earth.
