Student Body President Arrested for Murder

Hakari , Japan - Jindai High School student body president Kaname Chidori was arrested yesterday, charged with the murder of one Sousuke Sagara, a member of the student body. Chidori turned herself in after realizing that in a fit of manic insanity she had managed to pile drive Sagara into his desk. A full examination is forthcoming, but initial autopsy results found that Sagara's head hit the desk with such force that his neck shattered in four places.
The conflict, only the most recent of many violent encounters, apparently began with an argument over a homework assignment being lost. When asked what could possibly have justified this grizzly act, Chidori declined to comment, stating that she was sworn to secrecy. Unfortunately for Chidori, no relatives of Sagara have stepped forward to exonerate or condemn her for her actions, and the case will be taken to the district court for deliberation. The incident, filmed by the school security cameras, are expected to make this a short and easy verdict. Chidori could face between 20 and 30 years in prison.
This is the third time Chidori has been reprimanded for violent fits of anger on school property, almost always set off by Sagara's frequent mechanical tinkering In one rather famous instance, Sagara was responsible for accidentally blowing up part of the men's locker room.
In related news, no less than three attempts to kidnap Chidori from her cell at the Hakari precinct have occurred in the last 24 hours. Chidori was overheard yelling from her cell "it's all Sousuke's Fault!!" repeatedly over the course of the night.
