PATERNITY SCANDAL SHOCKS PRINCIPALITY

Zum City, Side 3 -
Scandal hit Zum City this week when Zaku II, the beloved symbol of the Zeon cause, was slapped with his second paternity suit in just over two years. In late 0086, the first accusation was made public when GM, a Federation training unit, claimed Zaku was the father of her son Hizack, who was born in 0085. Zaku agreed to DNA testing and was revealed to be Hizack’s biological father. He is now paying child support.
The second, current lawsuit, was filed by Galbaldy α, a Zeon expatriate living at the Federally controlled Pezun asteroid base. Her claim that Zaku also fathered her daughter, Galbaldy β, was made public last week when the case went to court. The accusation is eerily similar to the one leveled by GM, and now even Zaku’s closest supporters are wondering if this will be the end or if these cases are just the opening rounds of something bigger.
The Mahal Chronicle reported that Galbaldy α was introduced to Zaku while he was on leave at A Baoa Qu following the battle of Solomon. Even more scandalous is the fact that when they allegedly began their relationship, Galbaldy α was still an underage prototype. This is not the first time paternity issues have smudged the Zaku family’s image. During the One Year War, a strikingly similar lawsuit was settled out of court between Zaku I, Zaku’s father, and an unidentified Federation unit over their alleged illegitimate son, Zanny.
When asked to comment, Gattle, Zaku’s commanding officer from the battleship Dolos, had this to say, "Eh, everyone on that ship knew Zaku had a wandering monoeye. He was always in the ladies’ hangar, flirting with the Rick Doms. He likes ‘em big, ya know,."
"This has rocked us to our core (3)," commented Qubeley, Zaku’s attorney, "These types of accusations shouldn’t be thrown around lightly,." Zaku has declined to comment as of this writing, but his wife, Zakrello, has issued a short statement. "I trust my husband, and believe this claim can be definitively proven false. When I met him during the war, some said the only reason he was interested in me was because I would be a trophy wife. This attention is too much for us and our son, Zaku III."
