In the Second Battle of Tokyo, Suzaku Kururugi's Z-01/D Lancelot Conquista is badly damaged by Kallen Kouzuki's Type-02/F1Z Guren SEITEN. Though the base Lancelot is fine, most of the Conquista parts are beyond repair, and after joining forces with his friend-turned-enemy-turned-ally Lelouch Lamperouge, Suzaku moves on to his new unit, the Z-01Z Lancelot Albion. However, he has the Camelot Engineering Corps reconstruct the original Z-01/A Lancelot Air Cavalry for his and Lelouch's co-conspirator, the immortal "Witch" C.C. to use. Because it uses maintenance parts, the rechristened Lancelot Frontier's performance is inferior to the original Lancelot, but it is still an exceptional unit. The biggest changes are the distinctive pink paint scheme and the addition of the RZA-10JS Percival's missile shield to provide ranged offense. During the final battle between Lelouch and his brother Schneizel, C.C. uses the Frontier in an attempt to waylay Kallen and her Guren SEITEN. However, Kallen's superior skills and Knightmare allow her to destroy the Frontier, though she allows C.C. to escape rather than attempting to kill her.
