The bulky GN-005 Gundam Virtue had the highest firepower and defensive ability of Celestial Being’s third generation Gundams. The quantum computer Veda developed the beam weapon-focused Gundam Virtue in competition alongside the primarily projectilve weapon GN-005/PH Gundam Virtue Physical, but in the end the former won out. Because its GN Drive was perpetually producing GN particles, the Gundam Virtue could generate a GN Field to defend itself. The Gundam Virtue was intended for anti-ship/fortress attack missions. Its main weapon was its GN Bazooka, which could fire high density, high energy GN particles and destroy several mobile suits in one shot. The bazooka’s power could be increased by connecting to the GN Drive to use Burst Mode. However, because of its high particle consumption, Burst Mode couldn’t be used continuously. Its pair of GN Cannons weren’t as powerful as the bazooka, but they had a wider range due to their flexible mounting. The Gundam Virtue could fire all three weapons at once for a devastating frontal attack.
The Gundam Virtue also carried a pair of GN Beam Sabers for self-defense, and its GN Field could protect it from both physical and beam attacks. Due to the field’s high particle consumption, the suit’s GN Condensers needed to be filled before each sortie. Like the other Gundams, the Gundam Virtue could use the Trans-Am System to release highly compressed GN particles for increased offensive and defensive capabilities. However, because the Gundam Virtue required a large amount of GN particles for its offense and defense, it was more adversely affected by the performance drop after Trans-Am than its fellow Gundams. The Gundam Virtue hid an extra secret, and by ejecting its armor it could reveal the smaller GN-004 Gundam Nadleeh. Gundam Meister Tieria Erde was forced to reveal this secret before he intended to as a result of a Human Reform League attack in space. The Gundam Nadleeh was heavily damaged in combat in 2308, but the Gundam Virtue’s concept lives on its successor unit, the GN-008 Seravee Gundam, piloted by Tieria in 2312.
