Technical and Historical Notes

The third generation GN-003 Gundam Kyrios could increase its speed and firepower through the addition of an optional tail booster. For its successor unit GN-007 Arios Gundam, the tail booster concept was expanded to encompass an entire mobile suit, the GNR-101A GN Archer. When docked, the two mobile suits were known as the Archer Arios and had increased speed and firepower. The GN Archer was powered by a GN Condenser, but when docked it received GN particles directly from the Arios Gundam's GN Drive. As a result, if the Arios Gundam activated Trans-Am, the GN Archer could also utilize its benefits. The upgraded GN-007GNHW/M Arios Gundam GNHW/M added a pair of GN Missile Containers, but their placement allowed the suit to maintain its docking ability with the GN Archer. The operational data from these two suits later contributed to the design of the GN-011 Gundam Harute.
