Technical and Historical Notes

The GNMA-04B11 Trilobite is an underwater mobile armor developed by Union Arsenal for the Earth Sphere Federation's A-LAWS. Thanks to its Union design heritage, the Trilobite's head uses sensors from the Flag mobile suit series. Designed for two pilots, the cockpit includes a residential block for long trips. The Trilobite's rear section is a weapons container, and to reduce water resistance while cruising, the arm units are retracted while the container is in its contracted state. During combat, the arms are extended while the weapons container splits apart. The Trilobite's armaments are comprised of physical armaments due to the reduced underwater power of beam weapons. Its nose functions as a linear spear for ramming attacks. The claw arms mount 12 small GN torpedoes, but they can also be used for underwater work. The main body and weapons container house multiple armaments, including the chain mine worm, a bomb that entangles enemy units or propellers, anti-vessel/land missiles, large GN torpedoes and chemical jelly bombs, which solidify on impact. The Trilobite makes its combat debut in 2312 in a battle against the reconstituted Celestial Being in the Strait of Hormuz, but it is destroyed by the organization's new Gundams.
