Technical and Historical Notes

The Silver Chalice Treaty that ends the space wars of the previous era also restricts the development of weapons by the military, but many mobile suit smiths continue their work, including the famous Asuno family. When the Unknown Enemy attacks the space colony Ovan in AG 108, young Flit Asuno inherits the AGE device from his dying mother. Using the data on the AGE device and the inspiration from painting of the legendary mobile suit known as "The Gundam", Flit spends the next seven years developing the AGE-1 Gundam AGE-1 Normal. The AGE-1 Normal's performance far exceeds that of the Federation Forces' mass produced RGE-B790 Genoace, and it can fight on an equal level with the Unknown Enemy's ovv-f Gafran. However, its biggest innovation is the chest-mounted AGE System, an advanced computer that analyzes combat data to create new weapons and modular wear parts. The AGE Builder, a self-contained production factory, can quickly construct anything conceived by the AGE System.

The AGE-1 is completed in AG 115 just as the Unknown Enemy attacks the space colony Nora. Due to the chaos of the surprise attack, Flit volunteers to pilot the AGE-1 Normal into battle and defeats a Gafran on his first sortie. However, the hastily equipped Genoace beam spray gun proves ineffective, so the AGE System devices its first weapon, the powerful DODS rifle. Through further battles, the AGE System creates multiple wear parts that can be swapped on the battlefield through the AMEMBO delivery system. An alliance led by the battleship Diva reveals the true face of the Unknown Enemy as the Vagan, the abandoned colonists of Mars. Following the War of Bat Extermination, Flit continues to upgrade the AGE-1 with new wear parts, and the Federation Forces mass produce the AGE-1 as the RGE-G1100 Adele. In AG 140, Flit's teenage son Asemu briefly uses the suit to defend the space colony Tordia from Vagan attacks. When the AGE System is transferred to Asemu's new AGE-2 Gundam AGE-2 Normal, the AGE-1 is modified at Big Ring into the AGE-1F Gundam AGE-1 Flat. The AGE-1 continues to serve as Flit's personal mobile suit for another quarter century, with its final evolution being the AGE-1G Gundam AGE-1 Gransa.
