Technical and Historical Notes

As the battleship Diva crosses a desert in AG 164, it encounters unmanned Vagan attack drones as well as several ovw-dc Wrozzos piloted by an elite team known as the Phantom 3. Because the Wrozzos can "swim" through sand as though it were water, they prove to be challenging opponents for Kio Asuno's AGE-3 Gundam AGE-3 Normal. In response, the AGE System develops the Fortress wear parts and for use in deserts and swamps. As with the AGE-3 Normal, Kio can switch wear parts by docking his Core Fighter with the Fortress' G-Hopper. Armed with four SigMaxiss cannons, the AGE-3 Fortress' power is double that of the earlier AGE-2DB Gundam AGE-2 Double Bullet. The four cannons can link their firepower together for a powerful sustained attack. The AGE-3 Fortress sacrifices its flight ability due to the extra weight, but a set of thrusters in its legs allows it to hover over the ground.
