Based on the original TMF/A-802 BuCUE, the TMF/A-802W2 Kerberos BuCUE Hound is an upgraded version designed for close combat. While the original BuCUE's back could be equipped with either railguns or a missile launcher, the Kerberos BuCUE Hound features new armaments conforming with the Wizard pack system used by "New Millennium" mobile suits such as the ZGMF-1000 ZAKU Warrior. As a result, the Kerberos Wizard can be attached to ZAFT's standard bipedal mobile suits. With three heads, the BuCUE Hound resembles the three-headed dog Kerberos from Greek mythology. Its new armaments include a pair of beam cannons, as well as double-edged beam sabers, beam horns and beam fangs. In late C.E. 73, a custom color BuCUE Hound piloted by Isaac Mau is assigned to advise the crew of the Martian ship Acidalium. In early C.E. 74, a group of BuCUE Hounds participating in an attack on the land carrier Bonaparte overwhelm and destroy the Phantom Pain mobile suit GAT-X1022 Blu Duel.
