Technical
and Historical Notes
|
In the postwar era, ZAFT develops its "second stage" of Gundam model mobile suits. As part of that design process, the ZGMF-X101S ZAKU Splendor serves as a testbed for the three-module combining system utilized in the ZGMF-X56S Impulse Gundam. Based on a modified ZGMF-1001 ZAKU Phantom, the ZAKU Splendor features a detachable cockpit similar to the YFX-M56 Core Splendor. The ZAKU Splendor is armed with standard grenades and can also carry two beam rifles and a sword.
