Technical and Historical Notes

When Neo Japan designs the GF13-017NJ Shining Gundam for the 13th Gundam Fight, they also develop the GF13-017NJII God Gundam for use in the Finals. However, the research used to develop these mobile fighters also produces the JMF-1336R Rising Gundam, which doesn't participate in the Gundam Fight. As the Battle Royale begins, the Rising Gundam sees action when it's piloted by Rain Mikamura to assist Domon Kasshu. When Domon is under attack by Allenby Beardsley's GF13-050NSW Nobell Gundam, Rain comes to his aid in the Rising Gundam. However, what she ends up facing is the Walter Gundam, one of the JDG-00X (JDG-009X) Devil Gundam's Four Heavenly Kings. The Rising Gundam is well equipped for battle, which compensates for the fact that Rain isn't a Gundam Fighter. Standard armament includes two head mounted vulcan guns, a machine cannon, a heat naginata and a beam bow. The beam bow is used for one of the Rising Gundam's ultimate attacks, the Rising Arrow. Another ultimate attack includes the Rising Finger, which shoots out a ball of energy similar to the Bakunetsu God Finger used by the God Gundam. The Rising Gundam only sees combat one time against the Walter Gundam, and it's severely damaged by the end of the battle.
