Technical and Historical Notes

In order to supplement the psycommu fortress known as Angel Halo, the Zanscare Empire developed a special mobile suit called the ZMT-S35S Rig Ring. Equipped with a copy of the ring psycommu system, the Rig Ring was intended to resonate Angel Halo's powerful psychowaves and spread them all across the planet. The ring psycommu system was actually powerful enough to allow the Rig Ring to broadcast its own psychowaves, but only in a localized area. The Rig Ring was equipped with a pair of shot claws like those on the ZM-S14S Contio, as well as a scattering beam cannon, giving it overall high combat efficiency. The Rig Ring was originally intended to be developed in parallel with Angel Halo, but sudden changes in the state of the war caused the mobile suit's development to be discontinued.
