Technical and Historical Notes

The MS-09F/Gb Dom Gross Beil ("Gross Beil" means "Big Axe") is a variation of the MS-09R Rick Dom, with enhanced mobility and ranged combat capabilities in order to rival the next-generation MS-14A Gelgoog mobile suit that replaces the Dom series. Developed at the same time as the land warfare mobile suit MS-09F/trop Dom Tropen, it shares many of the same parts and has a similar external appearance. Several thrusters have been added to its legs, and its mobility is equal to that of the MS-14B Gelgoog High Mobility Type. Its functional concept is specialization for melee combat, and its distinctive armament includes a heat knife and a large heat saber with a built-in thruster. However, the war ends just as the design is on the verge of completion, and its development is halted before it can reach the prototype stage.
