Technical and Historical Notes

The MSZ-009 Prototype ZZ Gundam is an early version of the AEUG's MSZ-010 ZZ Gundam. Unlike the ZZ Gundam, it does not use the Core Block System, but it can transform into G-Fortress Zero mode and separate into two parts, Core Top Zero and Core Base Zero. The Prototype ZZ Gundam's main purpose is to test out combining mechanisms. It is armed with a pair of hyper beam sabers, along with a head-mounted double high mega cannon and a hand use double beam rifle. A total of two units are produced.
