Technical and Historical Notes

The RX-098 Prototype Rick Dias is the prototype of AEUG's RMS-099 (MSA-099) Rick Dias. It is an experimental model created for testing with Gundarium Gamma, which is brought from Axis by Char Aznable. Other experimental elements include the movable frame and a new style generator. The development team gives it the nickname "Proto Gamma." In order to fool the Earth Federation, the unit is assigned the model number RX-098. The outward appearance of the Prototype Rick Dias is very similar to that of the production model Rick Dias.
