Technical and Historical Notes |
The Light Armor RX-81 is one of the many variations of the RX-81 Standard RX-81 and is based on the concept of the RGM-79L Light Armor. The emphasis for the RX-81LA is largely on light weight and powerful thrusters in order to excel in hit-and-run tactics. In order to reduce the weight the armor is made very thin, and short range combat armaments such as the beam saber have been removed. The RX-81LA's armaments consist of a pair of vulcan guns and a heavy rifle.
