Technical and Historical Notes

The RX-81ST Standard RX-81 is designed by the Earth Federation Forces as the successor to the RX-78-2 Gundam from the One Year War. Unlike the Gundam, the Standard RX-81 is able to be adapt to fit various mission
roles by swapping parts and armaments. Variations include the Light Armor, Full Armor and Assault type. The Standard RX-81 is armed with vulcan guns, a Gatling smasher and beam shotrifle. Because the RX-81 is designed after the end of the One Year War, there are no large scale conflicts and the cost of the using lunar titanium for the next generation of mobile suit proves to be too costly for mass production.
