The most powerful space warships of the One Year War excluding the giant Zeon Dolos class ships, the Zeon Gwazine class battleships were more than a match for any Federation Forces warship. With high-powered main weaponry that outclassed the Federation Forces Magellan class ships and a large integral compliment of mobile suits, Gwazine class ships were typically reserved as command ships used by high-ranking flag officers. The sheer firepower and defensive abilities of the Gwazine ensured that they would remain as the most powerful warships in the Earth Sphere for many years. During the One Year War, the Great Degwin served as the personal flagship of Degwin Sodo Zabi, the head of the Principality. It was destroyed when his son Gihren fired the Solar Ray at the Federation Forces fleet. Another ship, the Gwaden, served as the personal ship of Aiguille Delaz during the war and afterwards during Operation Stardust in UC 0083.
