Technical and Historical Notes

The Luggun is a reconnaissance aircraft used by the Principality of Zeon during the One Year War in UC 0079. The Luggun is equipped with two radomes for data collection and lightly armed with missile launchers and machine gun. The Luggun's armaments are intended for defense rather than offense, and units come under attack on multiple instances from FF-X7 Core Fighters assigned to the White Base and Spartan. Because the Luggun is unsuited to sustained combat, Dopp fighters sometimes fly escort for it. After the war, the PMC Themis uses Luggun crafts as part of its forces in UC 0090. Zeon remnants continue to use the Luggun as late as UC 0096.
