Technical
and Historical Notes
|
An upgrade
of the Principality of Zeon's MS-06E Zaku
Reconnaissance Type, the MS-06E-3 featured the same external
camera/sensor systems as the standard E-type,
but also mounted six fin-like, directional laser and sonic sensor
systms for detection across a greater spectrum. When in use,
the fins would make a flapping motion as they turned to acquire
and track targets, thus earning the E-3-type the nickname "Zaku
Flipper" among Zeon pilots.
