Technical and Historical Notes

For the Principality of Zeon's many battles against the Earth Federation in space some MS-06F Zaku II units were modified to become minelayers. They were exactly the same as the standard MS-06F in every respect, except that its backpack was changed in order to dispense space mines. This new backpack stored the mine drums, with 12 mines per drum. The Minelayers also had the ability to carry 5 times the fuel as a standard MS-06F. The Minelayers required a special loading area to be reloaded on a Musai cruiser.
