In February C.E. 71, the Earth Alliance deploys the FX-550 Sky Grasper as a support craft for the GAT-X105 Strike Gundam to deliver its Striker packs in mid-battle. The Alliance also creates a space use variant, the FXet-565 Cosmo Grasper, to support the GAT-01A1 Dagger. The Cosmo Grasper's armaments differ somewhat from the Sky Grasper, including a pair of Gatling guns. The Cosmo Grasper is also capable of docking with Striker packs, including a redesigned Aile Striker that lacks beam sabers.
