Technical and Historical Notes

In early C.E. 71, the Earth Alliance's prototype GAT-X103 Buster Gundam is stolen by ZAFT at the Orb Union's space colony Heliopolis. The Alliance later creates a mass production version, the GAT/A-01E2 Buster Dagger. After the Bloody Valentine War, Actaeon Industries upgrades a Buster Gundam into the GAT-X103AP Verde Buster Gundam. The Verde Buster features an expanded selection of armaments. The original's beam cannon and gun launcher are now mounted over the shoulders. Shoulder-mounted missile launchers have been retained, and a pair of combinable beam rifles are mounted on the hips. During the Second Bloody Valentine War, the Verde Buster serves as the personal unit of Phantom Pain pilot Shams Couza. In C.E. 73, Phantom Pain is assigned to seize control of the Deep Space Survey & Development Organization's AI-equipped mobile suit GSX-401FW Stargazer Gundam. Berserk with rage, Shams depletes the Verde Buster's energy, making him an easy kill for a group of UT-1D Civilian Astray DSSD Custom mobile suits.
